It's not just our photographers who are helping to capture the world through photography; there are thousands of people working hard behind the scenes, across the world to bring these images to you.
In this 'Who We Are' series, we look at the many job roles at a photography agency from picture editors, to sales and marketing to art directors.
It’s over to the LA office this week to meet Vice President of Entertainment Partnerships and Development, Vince Bannon.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I love to lie in bed and read all about new companies and folks that I would love Getty Images to get involved with. Then I have two completely insane German Shorthair Pointers - Matty and Slim - that come jumping on top of my bed to get me the heck out. Plus I have my seven year old Shane and my one year old Gabe, so I can't stay in bed too long...
What was the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Never stop learning, never ever stop being curious and never ever look back. I have been blessed with an amazing life!
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Wow, so many - from working with great artists in the music space - Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Outkast, The Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Jay Z, Oasis - I could go on forever. Producing Lollapalooza, The 1st Rave in Miami in ’94, and The Divine Playground; to also working on The Led Zeppelin Exclusive. Working with Apple and Getty Images; growing a great relationship with Vice; supporting Iggy Pop in concert in Detroit, and helping to start the flame of The EDM movement in 1986. And last but not least, speaking to Parliament this summer about Embed. It just never stops really!

Whose career do you admire?
Nelson Mandela. I get teary-eyed any time I think of him, and how he was such a great man of peace. Plus I am so jealous of my sister as she produced his tour of North America. And also Daft Punk, they are the best multi-media artists of our time – period. Never knock the French and their art, and believe me, this group will be measured with the greatest artists of the 21st century. In fact, Cédric won an Academy Award for the best short film - Logorama - they just get what's happening in media.
How do you like to spend Sundays?
Hanging with the family, having a whole slew of great friends over to the house for a barbecue. My lovely wife, Zoe, LOVES to entertain and I love to mix it up with great music, TV, film, tech and smart business folks. We discuss where everything is headed. All while watching our amazing kids play, swim and sing. We show them how much we love life and them!
What’s your secret talent?
I LOVE to run - in fact I can run forever, even being a bit heavy. I have to thank my older brother as I was always being chased by him for the mean pranks I routinely played on him, like switching his toothpaste for shaving cream!
When was the last time you made a resolution and what was it?
To be a better listener as I am passionate about telling too many stories! I am fascinated with everyone else’s, and I do love to hear everyone's experiences - joy, sadness, goals and what motivates them. I’m still working on it!
