I began my career in photography in 1996 answering phones on the picture desk of the news picture agency, Fotopress. It wasn’t long before I was out shooting and in 1999 won the Qantas Press Photographer of the Year.
Soon after I spent two years working as a sports photographer in the UK and covered most of the big sports events in the Northern Hemisphere during that time.
Highlights of my sporting career include four Olympic Games, three Commonwealth Games, Cricket World Cup, F1GP, Wimbledon and the British Golf Open. Being one of the first people to see in the sunrise of the new millennium at a remote island at the bottom of the world was also a photographic highlight.
For news, I’ve covered several military coups in Fiji and also numerous Royal Tours to balance out my sports photography.
My passions outside of photography include cycling and cooking.
