Bio:
Award-winning photojournalist Ethan Miller has been a staff photographer for Getty Images, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, since June 2005, covering entertainment, news and sports assignments. Prior to working for Getty Images he was a staff photographer for the Las Vegas Sun for 10 years. During this time, Miller also completed assignments for Reuters News Pictures and did freelance work for Rolling Stone, Corbis and ImageDirect. Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts in photojournalism from Arizona State University in 1994. During his studies, he served multiple internships for The Arizona Republic and The Phoenix Gazette.

While at the Sun, Miller received numerous awards from the Nevada Press Association, including six first-place awards in spot news, sports and feature categories. He also won the Joseph Costa Award for Courtroom Photography in 2000, and 2005. In addition, Miller won the National Headliner Award for Feature Photography for an image of a flag-waving girl at a candlelight vigil taken the day after the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001. The photograph was featured on the cover of a commemorative issue of Newsweek and other publications worldwide.

Since joining Getty Images, Miller has photographed the Academy Awards, the Emmy Awards, the American Music Awards, the Miss America Pageant, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards, the 2007 NBA All-Star Game, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the 2008 Republican National Convention, the Michael Jackson trial, and numerous concerts, championship boxing events, NCAA basketball tournaments and Las Vegas show premieres.
His work has appeared in publications worldwide including USA Today, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, People, GQ, Us Weekly, In Touch Weekly, Daily Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Playboy, Life & Style Weekly, OK!, and The Globe and Mail.
