Danny Martindale has been a professional photographer for more than 12 years. With a background in art and architecture, he combines his creative eye with the ability to react quickly and capture the moment on camera.

A sports fan, Danny began his career at the sports photographic agency Action Images, where he specialised in football, cricket and rugby, before leaving to go freelance. Moving into news and entertainment, Danny joined WireImage in 2006 before becoming part of the Getty Images family.

Based in London, Danny photographs a broad range of entertainment news, royal visits and events such as London Fashion week. He also travels outside the UK to cover big royal events and international film festivals including Cannes and Venice.

In 2012 Danny was honoured when Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall chose his photograph, taken during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration, for their official Christmas card.
