It's not just our photographers that are helping to capture the world through photography, there are thousands of people working hard behind the scenes across the world to bring these images to you.

In this 'Who We Are' series, we look at the many job roles at a photography agency frompicture editors, to sales and marketing to art directors.

This week, we meet Andrea Giglioni who is a Localization Project Manager at our London Office.

What does your job involve?
I am part of the localization team that manages the translation of all of our websites, marketing campaigns and legal content into up to 21 languages, and counting. In my role, I ensure that all of our marketing initiatives are translated and our clients have the best experience in their own language.

What skills do you need for your job?
Passion for the international experience, extreme linguistic geekiness, and zen-like resilience.

What excites you about photography?
I love imagery that captures scenes or details that the naked eye would miss out on. Whether because the action is too quick, far away or because one wasn’t even born when the fact happened! I could spend days going through scientific and archival content…

What are you passionate about outside of your work life?
I create illustrations, practice yoga and of course I study a language, or two. I’m onto Japanese and Swedish at the moment. I read, listen and watch as much as possible in as many languages I can. I am always planning a trip somewhere, mostly to go visit friends abroad.  I love swimming and snorkelling and I want to get into scuba diving. A sailing license is on my mind as well but it’s not easy in London if one has a taste for more temperate seas! I also have a mild obsession with honeybees so I thought of jumping at the urban beekeeping trend, although I haven’t done much about it apart from lots of Googling and buying a book that I haven’t read yet, and a bee-shaped brooch…

How would your friends describe you?
I hope they’d say that I’m a good friend to have!

Best holiday you’ve ever been on?
I have a tie between Japan and L.A/Hawaii. It must be something about the Pacific Ocean.

Who has been one of the biggest influences in your life?
The book Treasure Island!
