It's not just our photographers that are helping to capture the world visually, there are thousands of people working hard behind the scenes across the world to bring these images to you.

In this 'Who We Are' series, we look at the many job roles at a photography agency from picture editors, to sales and marketing to art directors.

In this installment, we get familiar with Carly Lewisohn, Supervising Producer in our UK Video Team.

What does your job involve?
A lot of multi tasking! My job varies from day to day from managing our editorial video content, planning large-scale shoots for events such as Cannes Film Festival and London Fashion Week, to producing promos for large brands such as Mars and Nike.

How did you get where you are today?
Right place, right time with the right people supporting me. I owe a lot to Marc Soloman from Warner Brothers who gave me my first job as a runner on Harry Potter and doors just opened from there.

What was the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
I was 17 and starting my first day on work experience for a film producer (Robert Jones) and just before she dropped me off to the station, my mum told me "smile a lot, be nice too”. A smile goes a long way, she was right.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
There has been far too many to list, I have been lucky to have worked with so many talented people and in such interesting locations- flying in a UH-60 Black Hawk with Jason Isaacs whilst filming Green Zone was by far the coolest, producing a VT for the Olympic ceremony in 2012, interviewing Whoopi Goldberg, my first Cannes Film Festival with Getty Images….. How long do I have?!

Who is your favorite photographer/favorite photograph?
I’ve recently come across Jim Mortram who’s work I really admire- his photographs first and foremost are about telling stores; the stories of ordinary people whose voices are often unheard.

What excites you about video?
The possibilities are endless, it’s constantly changing too. Now we are entering the next generation of video with 4K and live streaming which is really exciting!

What are you passionate about outside of your work life?
Aside from being a huge lover of films, my other passion is art and I dedicate a lot of my spare time to working with a variety of public visual artists to produce public art works with the aim to promote positive social change.

What’s a favorite book of yours?
'Down and Out in Paris and 'London', and I adore Salinger especially 'Franny and Zooey'- always in paper form, I’m not a Kindle fan!
