Entertainment Assignment Manager, Lisa Marie Rae takes us behind the scenes at some of London's hottest red carpet events including the opening of the Karl Lagerfeld store on Regent's Street, Kylie's performance at G-A-Y and The Muppets movie premiere!

After the madness of Award Season in February where we saw BAFTA, London Fashion Week, Brits and Elle Style all squeezed into one chaotic week, March ran in a slower gear much to the Entertainment Team’s delight. Starting the month off in LA for the Academy Awards was never going to be topped but then again it’s not every month you have Mr. Karl Lagerfeld opening his first London boutique. London literally went Krazy for Karl with mini Karl’s and Karl Kabs… everywhere.

We sent veteran star snapper Dave Benet along to capture the madness and rub shoulders with the fashion elite. Princess Beatrice, Amber Le Bon and Daisy Lowe were among the guests to welcome Karl to London, with Haim adding some California cool to the evening.

While on the subject of Chanel, George at Asda was quick to recreate their super-market themed show at Paris Fashion Week with their own version. It was a very reactive piece of PR and we were only too happy to lend a hand in recreating such a glamorous supermarket sweep.
‘Selfie’ is still the most ‘hash-tagged’ phrase thanks to Ellen DeGeneres and her Oscars #selfie and even Joan Collins got in on the act at The Prince's Trust & Samsung Celebrate Success Awards, whipping out her Smartphone for a happy snap!

It wouldn’t be a Kylie Minogue album launch without a performance at London hotspot G-A-Y and with his exclusive access, Dave Benett was once again up close and personal with the pint sized Queen of Pop, which makes it twice in a matter of weeks as he also covered her exclusive album preview on Facebook. We can’t get enough of Kylie this month and with her first studio album in four years, Kiss Me Once, we are sure to see much more of her.

From one pint-sized celebrity to the next, the demanding but ever glamorous Miss Piggy was in town for the premiere of her new movie The Muppets Most Wanted with beau Kermit the Frog and co-stars Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell. Always radiant and together, Miss Piggy certainly took London by storm in a Vivienne Westwood evening gown.
It was a month of breaking away from the laptop and getting some good old fashioned face-to-face meetings in. I met with some exciting new clients and potential accounts like the amazingly charismatic Alexandra Palace, luxury heritage brand Purdey & Sons ahead of their bicentenary later this year and Prince Harry’s charity Sentebale who are achieving some amazing feats in caring for children in Lesotho.

In other news, one PR agency that never fails to keep me on my toes is Mission Media who celebrated their 10th birthday this month with an epic bash at The Tate Modern. The Belvedere flowed, the tunes blazed and the guests bounced… on London’s biggest bouncy castle specifically designed for the event! Congratulations to the Mission team and here’s to the next ten... Other industry highlights was the appointment of Freud to manage Graduate Fashion Week, which represents the future of creative design talent and has been responsible for kick-starting the careers of Christopher Bailey, Stella McCartney and Matthew Williamson. We can’t wait to be involved this year!

The fashion world mourned the loss of stylist-come-designer, L’Wren Scott, who was a master of the female form and had a large celebrity clientele. Her last London Fashion Week show in 2013 was so good that one photographer, who shall remain nameless, couldn’t tear himself away from the fun and was a tad late for the next show!

As a busy month goes, it’s nice to finish with a spot of yoga as Lululemon Athletica opens its new Covent Garden store with complimentary yoga nationwide. Namaste.
