Reporters being blown around in the wind and rain often end up in blooper shows. This was nothing to laugh about. Alex Rossi’s report showed us the devastation that the February flooding caused in parts of the UK.

Aerial shots capture the flood water as it starts to breach flood defences of million pound house on the Somerset Levels. 

It started raining in December and it didn’t stop. We had many teams deployed across the south of England as well as the 'Skycopter.' This resulted in hundreds of hours of footage for our archive. The one shot that stands out is this aerial– the owner of the house constructed a wall and moat around his property whist the surrounding area is completely submerged.

All eyes are on Scotland at the moment, from the success of the Commonwealth Games to the forthcoming Referendum. I like this wintery footage of the Forth Road and Forth Rail bridges; the mist brings a certain drama and mystery to the shot.
