About the Met Gala
The annual Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City is one of the biggest celebrity events of the year and often dubbed the ‘Fashion Oscars’.

Hosted by Vogue magazine, the event celebrates the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition – this year a celebration of Anglo-American couturier Charles James (1906 – 1978).

The guest list is one of the most coveted in the world of entertainment and last year’s attendees included stars across music, film and fashion with A-listers such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Madonna, Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr in attendance.

White Tie & Decorations
This year’s theme is a far cry from 2013’s ‘From Punk to Chaos’ and something that will certainly draw eyes to the male attendees.  Anna Wintour has called for ‘White Tie & Decorations’ which is the most formal of all evening dress codes. Ladies will be expected to turn out in full sweeping gowns while men should sport a tailcoat, white bow tie, white waistcoat and a wing collar shirt. Top hat optional.

About Embed
Embedded images cannot be used for commercial purposes. Don’t worry, the presence of ads on your site doesn’t automatically make use of an embedded image on that site a commercial use. The key attribute in classifying use as commercial is whether the image is used to promote a business, goods or services, or to advertise something. If you are using embedded images in the context of an editorial post, that is fine.
