On Tuesday 13 May 2014, Turkey witnessed its worst ever mining disaster at Soma Coal Mine.
301 people died when an explosion and fire took place within the coal mine, resulting in demonstrations and mass protests. Turkey called an end to the search and rescue operation on Saturday and investigations are now under way.
One week on, we take a look back at the tragedy as it unfolded.
