In a nod to spring’s imminent arrival, Getty Images Gallery showcased a selection of images from maverick American photographer Slim Aarons in its exhibition Slim’s Riviera.

Known for his work with high-society publications, this latest Slim Aarons exhibition portrays the luxury and frivolity of a generation at play. The collection includes previously unpublished work, showcasing the iconic playgrounds of the rich and famous in all their glory.

Slim’s Riviera, developed from a total re-edit of original boxes of transparencies and negatives, is a selection of 49 lesser known and classic works from this iconic American photographer.

Slim's influence of todays photographers

The Getty Images Gallery hosted a Slim Aarons Riviera exhibition recently and invited Matthew Butson, VP of the Hulton Archive, and Amelia Troubridge, Getty Images Photographer, to discuss both Slim's work and his subsequent influences on the photographers of today.

Getty Images Gallery is situated in central London, just a stone’s throw away from Oxford Circus. Explore the latest exhibition Jewels of the Archive
