In late 2013 and early 2014, Reportage by Getty Images undertook our first group project, which is a landmark moment for us. Commissioned by the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (ICRC), 5 of our photographers travelled to 5 countries (one each) to document the issue of landmines, cluster munitions, and unexploded remnants of war.

The project, titled ‘A Legacy of War’, was commissioned for an exhibition at a recent major international conference on the subject (the 3rd Review Conference of the convention on the prohibition of the use/stockpiling/production/transfer of anti-personnel mines, and on their destruction), which took place from June 23rd - 27th in Mozambique’s capital Maputo.

This multimedia showcases Brent Stirton’s work from Mozambique, featuring an interview with him discussing the project.
